All Souls, Sandringham has been proclaiming the good news of Jesus to the local community for over 140 years. During 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we undertook a churchwide vision process to discern where God might be leading us over the next few years.
As a church, we have the privilege of sharing in God's mission to enable people to experience and share new life in Jesus.
With the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead at its heart, our faith is all about the renewal of individuals, the church, the local community, and the entire world.
Our recent vision process identified four strategic directions of focus:
As you get to know us, we pray that you will experience a strong sense of welcome, encouragement and belonging as we seek to share the life of Jesus to others. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or if there are any ways we might help.
Jeremy is married to Sarah and has loved the Bayside lifestyle since moving to Sandringham in February 2020. Even more than enjoying nature, he loves helping people learn more about Jesus and feels privileged that he gets to do this as a job. He once studied an engineering degree and worked in IT in Adelaide before moving to Melbourne to study theology and prepare for Christian ministry.
Samantha (Sam) is married to Trevor, and they have two young adult children, Charlotte, and Sebastian, as well as a boisterous beagle named Billie. Sam has a passion for equipping others for ministry across ages and is particularly involved in ministry with children and families. Sam enjoys swimming in the bay all year around, sports (particularly soccer) and coming up with engaging ways to tell people about Jesus.
Catherine is married to Theodore, and they have three children of primary school age along with a toy cavoodle named Charlie. With a background in marketing and sales, along with running small businesses, Catherine feels privileged being able to use her administration and business experience. She thrives on being tasked to equip our staff team and members of the parish to participate and grow in their Christian faith. When not in the office, Catherine is busy with family life. She particularly enjoys organising and working towards special projects and events.
Luke oversees the music for our 10am services. He is passionate about music and youth, and seeing people mature and grow in faith. With a long history in piano, serving in worship bands since his mid teens, Luke also sings and plays a small collection of other instruments. Over the past 15 years Luke has led music teams and youth programs across various camps and churches. Luke has a keen interest in various forms of media, including writing & recording music, photography and videography. He will self-confess to spending too much time at the local cafe, drinking coffee and coming up with bad puns. Luke also works in the public sector and as a private music tutor.
